Summary: My research focuses on exploring interactions between health-related factors and cognitive-affective processes, and their impact on various mental health and clinical outcomes, such as depression and anxiety, in psychiatrically healthy and clinical populations across the lifespan (e.g., from early adolescence to young and older adulthood).
Minimum Courses: N/A
Projects:
Investigating the influence of brief bouts of exercise on behavioral and neurophysiological outcomes related to cognitive-affective processes in adults.
Examining the impact of brief digital interventions to increase physical activity and improve mental health among adults experiencing depression.
Understanding facilitators and barriers of physical activity in relation to mental health.
Assessing the effects of stress on cognitive performance and mental well-being in athletic and non-athletic populations Methodology used/techniques to be learned: self-reports; interview-based methods; electroencephalography (EEG)/event-related brain potentials (ERPs); heart rate variability (HRV); impedance cardiography (ICG); accelerometry; ecological momentary assessment; mobile app intervention delivery; signal processing.
