Two openings for new graduate students (MS or PHD) interested in research on statistical modeling of mental health outcomes.

Dr. Colin Xu, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Idaho, is looking for two motivated graduating seniors or post-bacs who are interested in working on two Department of Defense funded project on statistical modeling of mental health outcomes. The first involves modeling biomarkers and biophysical indicators of PTSD risk, and the second involves statistical modeling of family risk for psychological disorders.

These are grant-funded graduate research assistant positions, and a student who is admitted as a graduate student with Dr. Xu will be offered an assistantship which will cover tuition, fees, and a stipend to cover basic living expenses. The position may either be housed as an MS or PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Idaho, or as an experimental psychology MS or PHD.
