Summary:  My research focuses on the extraction, structural characterization, and functional properties of milk proteins and peptides. My primary research goal is to understand their impact on human health. Our current projects involve developing and optimizing methods for isolating milk proteins and characterizing their structure. We are particularly interested in exploring the functional properties of these proteins using mammalian cell line models.

Minimum Classes:  Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology

Projects:  This summer project is to exame the impact different peptides derived from milk protein hydrolysis on the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal stem cells and immune cells. The students will learn the techniques such as mammalian cell culture, western blot, real-time PCR, and ELISA.
