Funding opportunity description:
This funding is aimed at propelling a nearly complete manuscript to a more rapid submission. Do you have a biomedical/health-related manuscript on your desk that is incomplete but almost ready to submit? Maybe it is lacking one final experiment, a fully executed table/figure, funds for page charges; or you need time to edit the writing or fully develop the discussion? Here is an opportunity to help you move your manuscript to high priority and GET IT SUBMITTED/PUBLISHED.
Award budget: Applicants may request up to $40,000 in direct costs plus applicable F&A/indirect costs.
We expect to fund up to two proposals. Selection will be based on scientific quality, the plan to accomplish manuscript submission, a reasonable target date, and budget justification.
Eligible Organizations:
Funding is available to all faculty with an appointment at an Idaho Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI). These institutions include: Northwest Nazarene University, The College of Idaho, Brigham Young University – Idaho, Lewis-Clark State College.
Eligible Individuals:
Any faculty at with an appointment at an Idaho Primarily Undergraduate Institution that is poised to submit one or more biomedical research manuscripts for publication.
Funding Criteria:
Budget requests are flexible and should reflect your specific need.
Review and Selection Process:
All applications will be reviewed externally.
Reporting:
If you accept this award, you will be required to cite the Idaho INBRE award in the manuscript acknowledgments and comply with the NIH PMCID requirement. In addition, you will be obligated to report the outcome of this funding. Progress reports are due annually. The due date and specific requirements for your annual report will be based on NIH requirements.
