The INBRE Scholars Program provides freshman and sophomores with no research lab experience an intense, 2-week laboratory project in biology or molecular biology. Groups of students work together to articulate hypotheses, design experiments, and learn specific laboratory skills. The Scholar experience is often life-changing because it is the students’ first taste of laboratory bench research.

Network schools currently offering Scholars opportunities include the College of Southern Idaho, the College of Western Idaho, and Northwest Nazarene University.
