Dr. Tyler Bland at the University of Idaho WWAMI Medical Education Program is conducting a NASA-funded study featuring Medimon – a game that’s like a medical version of Pokémon, but designed to make you smarter! Medimon turns complex concepts related to space medicine (the musculoskeletal and visual systems) into fun, interactive characters that students can collect and level up, helping students understand and retain STEM knowledge.
We invite you to participate in this study, which will involve the following activities:
-
A short multiple-choice questionnaire testing current knowledge of space medicine.
-
Access to and two weeks to play the special NASA Medimon Game Demo (available on PC and Mac).
-
The multiple-choice questionnaire again to assess learning.
-
A short survey on enjoyment and engagement with the game.
Check out a sneak peek of Medimon in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1gtBwSUQ8E.
We’d be thrilled to have you join us in this opportunity to revolutionize space medicine education through the magic of gaming. If you’re interested, please sign up at the following link: https://uidaho.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2cn2QHStTZcm9Ui
