Dear Colleagues:
The St. Luke’s Research Annual Symposium Committee invites you to submit a proposal for consideration at the 2013 Research Symposium to be held in Boise on Friday, February 1, 2013. We invite you to submit a poster for this dynamic and exciting meeting.
Posters promote interdisciplinary sharing and collaboration, information, and practical strategies for approaching the many challenges facing research professionals. If you have created and implemented a successful new program or procedure this year, please consider sharing it with your colleagues! Attendees are hungry for cutting-edge research results that might be applied within their own respective areas.

Call for Posters
The St. Luke’s Research Annual Symposium Committee invites you to submit a proposal for consideration at the 2013 Research Symposium to be held in Boise on Friday, February 1, 2013. We invite you to submit a poster for this dynamic and exciting meeting.
Available throughout the entire fifth floor of the Anderson Center, poster presentations and sessions will provide an effective forum for the exchange of information and a means to communicate ideas, methodologies and programs relevant to clinical research. Poster session authors will be available for questions during assigned times, which will be communicated prior to the event.
Posters promote interdisciplinary sharing and collaboration, information, and practical strategies for approaching the many challenges facing research professionals. If you have created and implemented a successful new program or procedure this year, please consider sharing it with your colleagues! Attendees are hungry for cutting-edge research results that might be applied within their own respective areas.
The committee is looking for content globally related to:
•Clinical Trials: Scientific papers reporting on findings of treatment, intervention, or survey studies.
•Clinical Research Management: Critical reviews, position papers, or descriptive case reports dealing with issues associated with implementation, coordination, or management of clinical research or programs.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Posters
What is a poster?
A poster is a visual presentation that combines text and graphics that illustrates the processes, flow, and results of your project/research. A poster should clearly articulate what you did, how you did it, why you did it, and how the project contributes to the field of research.
How do I enter my poster?
1. Prepare and submit poster abstract:
•Abstracts should summarize the proposed content of the material to be presented and submitted to research@slhs.org by December 31, 2012. The body of the abstract should not exceed 500 words and be comprised of text only.
•You will be notified by January 4, 2013, regarding acceptance of your submitted abstract for poster presentation. Poster numbers are sent to each author as confirmation and a floor plan will show the assigned poster location.
2. Poster presenters should be available at their posters for a designated time; authors should honor their commitment of presenting their posters for which abstracts have been accepted. Funding for travel and accommodations is not available for this conference from program organizers. Registration for the overall event is not required and presenting does not constitute a registration.
3. Poster set-up and tear-down:
•Authors are responsible for promptly removing all materials at the end of the session or they will be removed and recycled. Lightweight poster board, paper, and foam core will stay up.
•There are no provisions for making posters at the meeting, receiving, storing, or returning poster to authors. Electronic AV equipment is not allowed and electricity is not supplied to poster presenters.
•Posters are able to be a maximum of 4 feet x 8 feet including the title. Temporary, removable adhesive products (clips, hooks, tabs & strips) will be supplied in order to affix the presentation to display space.
•Assembly time is Thursday, January 31, anytime between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
•Removal time is Friday, February 1, anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
