Short Course Opportunity- Jackson Laboratory

 In Uncategorized

 Dear Colleagues,

The Jackson Laboratory’s (JAX) 54th Annual Short Course on Medical and Experimental Mammalian Genetics will be offered from July 21- August 2, 2013 at JAX.   JAX is offering five course fellowships to applicants from IDeA states; preference will be given to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Fellowships will cover all expenses: travel, registration, on site meals, and local housing. For more information and registration, please see the following site:

http://courses.jax.org/2013/54th-short-course.html

To qualify for the fellowship, the candidate must be enrolled/employed in an IDeA state and submit an abstract for the poster session. When completing the registration form, the candidate should  select "defer payment" when prompted for payment option. The candidate will be prompted to describe their financial need and he/she should reference their connection to IDeA or INBRE or COBRE.  These awards will be made on a first-come-first-served basis to qualified candidates, so early response is encouraged.

Please take a look at the website for an overview of the course, and please let me know if individuals from your IDeA programs will be applying for the fellowships.  Although I was not given a deadline for applications, I recommend that applications be submitted very soon.

Best regards,
Patricia
